Jerry.ai is a profitable, Series C, YC-backed fintech startup with 5M+ customers and $240M in funding. The company is building an AI-powered advisor to manage physical assets, starting with car insurance (a $300B US market) and expanding into home, motorcycle, RV, and boat insurance. Currently, 60% of policies are sold automatically without human intervention, and 90% of customer inquiries are resolved via AI and automation. The Growth team owns the entire customer sign-up and purchase funnel for the car insurance marketplace, driving how millions discover and become Jerry customers. As the product becomes more complex with new insurance carriers and asset classes, an additional Product Manager is needed. Phase 1 (first few months): Learn product management fundamentals and develop deep understanding of funnel performance. Conduct structured product walkthroughs to map user journeys and identify friction points. Own user feedback monitoring from reviews, support tickets, and research, synthesizing signals into actionable insights. Drive bug triage and resolution with engineering, ensuring quality issues are prioritized. Phase 2 (as context builds): Lead end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, starting with well-scoped launches like landing pages and compliance features, then expanding scope. Contribute to A/B testing and experiment design. Partner with Design and Engineering to ship experiences balancing speed, clarity, and trust. Translate ambiguous customer problems into clear hypotheses and requirements. Key characteristics: Report directly to VP of Growth with c-suite visibility. Engineering team partly based overseas requires 3–4 hours daily overlap (non-negotiable). Growth team has 3 PMs total with large surface area, requiring scrappy execution but offering significant scope and ownership. Weekly sprints with fast shipping culture—products that take 6–12 months elsewhere launch in 1–2 months. Ideal candidate: First-principles thinker comfortable with ambiguous problems and incomplete information. Diligent with impeccable follow-through. Customer-centric, finding feedback intrinsically interesting. Strong communicator across engineering, design, analytics, and marketing, including across time zones. 3+ years product management experience (preferably consumer-facing). Strong analytical skills with ability to pull, structure, and interpret data independently. Track record owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact.
