Jerry.ai is a profitable, Series C, YC-backed fintech startup with 5M+ customers and $240M in funding. The company is building an AI-powered advisor to manage physical assets, starting with car insurance (a $300B US market) and expanding into home, motorcycle, RV, and boat insurance. Currently, 60% of policies are sold automatically without human intervention, and 90% of customer inquiries are resolved via AI and automation.
The Growth team owns the entire customer sign-up and purchase funnel for the car insurance marketplace, driving how millions discover and become Jerry customers. As the company scales from 5M to 50M customers by 2030, the product is becoming increasingly complex with new insurance carriers and asset classes.
In Phase 1 (first few months), you will learn product management fundamentals and develop deep understanding of funnel performance. You'll conduct structured product walkthroughs to map user journeys and identify friction points, own user feedback monitoring from reviews and support tickets, and drive bug triage with engineering.
In Phase 2, you'll lead end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, starting with well-scoped launches like landing pages and compliance features, then expanding scope. You'll contribute to A/B testing and experiment design, partner with Design and Engineering to ship balanced experiences, and translate customer problems into clear hypotheses and requirements.
Key characteristics: You report directly to the VP of Growth with c-suite visibility. The Growth team has 3 PMs total with huge surface area, requiring scrappiness and ownership. Weekly sprints ship products in 1-2 months versus 6-12 months elsewhere. Engineering is partly based in China, requiring 3-4 hours daily overlap with China business hours—a non-negotiable constraint.
Ideal candidates are first-principles thinkers comfortable with ambiguous problems and incomplete information, diligent with impeccable follow-through, deeply customer-centric, and strong communicators across engineering, design, analytics, and marketing across time zones. You bring 3+ years of product management experience (ideally consumer-facing), strong analytical skills to pull and interpret data independently, a track record of owning ambiguous problems, and excellent written/verbal communication.
