Asana is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of task coordination features—dependencies, milestones, subtasks, approvals, and the views that surface them (Task Pane, Board, Timeline, Gantt, Project Overview). This team owns the mechanics that enable enterprise teams to model complex, interdependent initiatives directly in Asana, with significant revenue and competitive implications.
With Asana's recent launch of Agentic Work Management, where AI Teammates collaborate alongside people on shared plans, this PM will pioneer the new category of AI-assisted task coordination—owning the strategy for keeping scheduling and task relationships trustworthy as both agents and humans propose and make changes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Set strategy for how tasks connect and stay in sync as plans change, aligned with broader group goals
- Drive end-to-end delivery of multi-month initiatives from problem definition through launch, often coordinating work across multiple teams and landing deliverables on other teams' roadmaps
- Scope tight MVPs and prioritize rigorously with incomplete information
- Facilitate complex, multi-team alignment across nearly every other team at Asana
- Connect regularly with customers, especially large and enterprise teams, to inform strategy
- Mentor other product managers and raise the bar on product craft across the team
The role is based in Asana's Warsaw office with an office-centric hybrid schedule: in-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; optional work-from-home Wednesday and Friday.
Requirements:
- 6–8 years of Product Management experience with a track record of driving end-user features (not purely internal or platform-only work)
- Experience shipping multi-month, end-to-end initiatives requiring close coordination across multiple teams, where you owned the full arc from definition to delivery
- Deep understanding of how complex, interdependent work is planned and scheduled in large organizations—shifting timelines, messy dependency chains, variable approval processes—and demonstrated ability to shape product decisions around that complexity
- Systems thinker comfortable reasoning about how changes in one platform area affect adjacent and dependent surfaces while maintaining focus on individual user experience
- Strong cross-functional communicator able to align multiple teams around difficult decisions and maintain execution momentum even when consensus is hard to reach
- Growth mindset: seek feedback, reflect, and actively mentor others
- Background in project/work management or mid-to-large enterprise SaaS with complex scheduling or workflow needs is a plus but not required
