Salary: USD 385,000 - 460,000 / annual
Anthropic is seeking a Product Manager for Beneficial Deployments within Anthropic Labs to lead 0-to-1 product development and access programs that bring frontier AI capabilities to underserved populations, nonprofits, public agencies, and mission-driven organizations.
You will own two core areas: identifying and defining entirely new product categories enabled by advanced AI capabilities that could provide step-change improvements in health, education, and economic opportunity; and designing and executing programs that get Claude into the hands of organizations working on these problems.
Responsibilities include identifying where emerging AI capabilities could transform outcomes for underserved populations, collaborating with researchers to understand emerging capabilities and their user implications, building prototypes to validate ideas before committing resources, leading 0-to-1 product development from research through shipped products, defining product strategy for experimental initiatives, and designing access programs for beneficial organizations. You will own the complete path from access to success, identifying and removing barriers to Claude deployment.
The ideal candidate has shipped products at large technology companies and understands how to work cross-functionally with engineering, legal, policy, and go-to-market teams at scale. You possess deep technical background, have shipped technical products with engineering teams, and have a track record of reaching large numbers of users or organizations. You navigate ambiguity well, flex into new domains, think creatively about technology risks and benefits beyond standard playbooks, and stay hands-on with emerging research and AI prototyping.
Preferred experience includes 5+ years in product management or equivalent operating roles, prior work inside civic institutions, public agencies, nonprofits, or beneficial organizations, and founding or early-stage building experience.
