Notion is hiring a Product Manager to shape the next generation of its collaborative AI workspace platform. The role sits at the intersection of a beloved consumer product, a flexible system that enterprises depend on, and a new platform for humans and AI to work together.
You will uncover consequential customer problems and opportunities, set bold but grounded strategy, and build alongside design, engineering, data science, research, and go-to-market teams. This is a high-agency role for someone excited to shape what Notion becomes next and make powerful new capabilities feel simple, trustworthy, and delightful to millions of customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying customer problems and product opportunities that define Notion's next chapter, then translating them into focused strategy and roadmap
- Taking ambitious ideas from first principles to launch, building closely with design and engineering to create intuitive, useful experiences
- Making hard tradeoffs between customer impact, business opportunity, technical complexity, speed, and long-term product quality
- Shaping how AI changes both the product and the way the team builds, using it to improve research, decisions, experimentation, and execution
- Raising the bar for product thinking across the team by creating clarity, accelerating learning, and establishing enduring principles and success measures
The role is based in San Francisco or New York City, with office anchor days on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated ability to identify meaningful customer problems and turn them into products that are intuitive, useful, and built with high craft
- Strong product judgment and ability to make sound tradeoffs among user experience, business impact, technical complexity, quality, and speed
- Track record of moving ambiguous, cross-functional work from problem definition to shipped outcomes while creating clear ownership and alignment
- Customer depth: ability to learn directly from users across segments and translate differing needs into coherent strategy rather than one-off requests
- Practical AI fluency: use AI to sharpen research, product thinking, decisions, and execution; excitement about rethinking how people and agents work together
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience building collaborative, productivity, or AI-powered products used by a broad range of customers
- Experience operating across both zero-to-one product development and improvement of products at scale
- Technical fluency and comfort partnering deeply with engineering on complex product systems
