Newsela is seeking a Product Manager to join its product team and drive the development of features that directly impact teachers and students in the classroom. In this role, you will own the platform experience by defining what gets built, why, and in what order, working closely with engineering, design, and content/pedagogy experts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and improving features that solve real classroom challenges for teachers and students
- Partnering with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, success, and fellow product managers) to ensure features meet user needs
- Collaborating with design and subject-matter experts throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery through launch
- Working with an AI-forward engineering team to deliver high-impact features
- Translating ambiguous problems into clear priorities and holding partners accountable to scope and timelines
- Using data to identify what's working, what isn't, and where the greatest opportunities lie
You bring 3+ years of product management experience scaling new or existing products. Experience in EdTech, K-12 education, SaaS, or instructional products is strongly preferred. You have demonstrated comfort using AI tools as part of your daily workflow and genuine enthusiasm for building AI-forward products. You excel at working closely with design and subject-matter experts to shape features, and you have strong analytical skills with the ability to dig into data directly. This is an opportunity to impact education at scale while working with an innovative, mission-driven team.
