Catena Clearing is building the permissioned data layer for freight—a consent-based API connecting 290+ telematics and ELD providers representing 99.8% of the U.S. ELD market. The platform returns normalized, verifiable data on over one million live trucks and enables bi-directional write-back capabilities in production, allowing software to not just read fleet data but act through it for fuel authorizations, TMS syncing, and dispatch clearing. As Product Manager, you will own the product roadmap across Catena's API, Catena Connect (carrier onboarding), the customer dashboard, and emerging product lines like Track-and-Trace and fleet intelligence. You'll serve as the single-threaded owner between leadership, engineering, forward-deployed teams, and go-to-market functions, translating customer workflows into crisp engineering requirements. Your core responsibilities include direct customer discovery with enterprise clients across six revenue verticals (fuel cards/payments, TMS/dispatch, load boards, insurance/risk, safety, AI fleet operations), defining success metrics tied to customer outcomes and retention rather than feature counts, and shaping data products including normalized schemas, write-back flows, webhooks, and AI-agent-facing surfaces. You'll partner closely with the CEO, Head of Engineering, and Customer Success teams to drive adoption and expansion—the company maintains ~200% NRR, and you'll own sustaining that momentum. The role demands high autonomy and accountability in a seed-stage environment where you'll take full product ownership from the founders. Required: 5+ years of product management in freight, logistics, telematics, or supply chain; deep understanding of TMS systems, ELDs, and broker/carrier dynamics. You must have B2B data product, API, or platform experience, comfort reading API documentation and debating schema design, and a proven track record shipping products on committed timelines. Strong customer discovery instincts and ability to simplify complex systems for developers, operators, and executives are essential. Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with telematics platforms (Samsara, Motive, Geotab), geospatial or real-time event-driven systems, early-stage startup background, or familiarity with AI/agent-facing product surfaces.
