Paytm, India's leading mobile payments and financial services company, is seeking an Associate Product Manager to own a product pod or charter within the Travel vertical. You will take end-to-end accountability for a clearly defined product area, working to understand customer problems, define product priorities, and drive measurable business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own a product pod with defined customer and business objectives
- Identify customer problems through data analysis, user research, market insights, and funnel analysis
- Define product roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and make informed trade-offs
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Analytics, Operations, and Business teams throughout the product lifecycle
- Design and run experiments, evaluate outcomes, and scale successful initiatives
- Track key product metrics and continuously improve user experience based on data and feedback
- Leverage AI tools for research, analysis, prototyping, documentation, and testing
- Take proactive ownership of risks and navigate ambiguous problem statements
You will work on products at scale, exploring opportunities to build new travel propositions from the ground up in a fast-paced environment that encourages experimentation and independent thinking.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Product Management, Product Analytics, Business Analysis, or related product roles
- Experience in a scaled consumer internet company, high-growth startup, marketplace, commerce, fintech, travel, mobility, or fast-paced B2C business
- Demonstrated ownership of product initiatives with measurable customer or business impact
- Strong understanding of product discovery, prioritization, funnel analysis, experimentation, and product delivery
- Hands-on experience with Android or iOS products and strong understanding of user experience
- Ability to collaborate with Engineering teams and discuss APIs, data flows, release dependencies, and technical trade-offs
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in interpreting product metrics, funnels, cohorts, and experiment results
- Ability to challenge assumptions and make data-driven decisions
- Proactive, curious, and adaptable approach to problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Practical, regular use of modern AI tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience taking a customer problem from discovery through product launch with clear evidence of impact
- Exposure to high-traffic products, frequent release cycles, complex marketplace dynamics, or conversion-focused journeys
- Experience building prototypes, automating workflows, or using AI beyond basic content generation
- Familiarity with AI agents or agentic frameworks
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or technical discipline (MBA is an added advantage but not mandatory)
- Ability to balance customer value, business impact, speed of execution, and technical feasibility
