Salary: USD 175,000 - 225,000 / annual
Voyager Technologies is a space, defense, and national security technology company developing mission-critical solutions for aerospace and defense applications. The Product Line Manager for Computing will lead the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of Voyager's computing product portfolio, including processing, control, and data storage products used in space and defense systems.
In this role, you will report to the VP of Product Development and own the complete product strategy for the computing portfolio. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive product roadmaps prioritized by customer needs and market trends, overseeing product development projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery, and translating execution challenges from program teams into actionable product insights. You will provide computing product design solutions leveraging aerospace and defense industry expertise, oversee development of computing requirements and architecture, and implement Design for Manufacturing, Design for Test, and Design for Cost methodologies to achieve cost-effective solutions.
You will collaborate with executive leadership to define product initiatives, monitor industry trends to maintain competitive positioning, develop commercial pricing strategies, and work with Business Development to estimate market demand. Customer feedback integration is critical—you will gather insights through surveys, focus groups, and support channels to enhance user experience. You will also identify opportunities for product innovation based on technology advancements and assess configuration changes to ensure alignment with market trends and customer needs.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential. You will work closely with other departments to align product performance with business objectives, communicate product strategy and progress to internal stakeholders, and foster strong relationships with customers and external partners. Additionally, you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical team, supporting recruiting, onboarding, and professional development while exemplifying the company's core values of Integrity, Respect, and Humility.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of experience in development of embedded computing products (single board computers, personality modules, video processors, power supplies, etc.); must be familiar with modern embedded processors such as ARM, PowerPC, and FPGA
- Minimum 3 years in product development/management roles, with at least 2 years in the space & defense industry
- Prior experience developing space & defense computing products, including flight computers, mission/payload processing systems, and storage devices
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in engineering, systems engineering, or science (required)
- Deep understanding of the space and defense market, including industry trends and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in product management, hardware and software development methodologies
- Experience with market analysis and competitive analysis
- Ability to obtain security clearance
