Rippling is a unified platform for HR, IT, and Finance that brings together workforce systems—payroll, expenses, benefits, computers, and third-party apps—into a single system. The company has raised $1.4B+ from top-tier investors and is headquartered in San Francisco.
As Product Lead for Reporting and Analytics, you will own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for AI-powered reporting and analytics within Rippling's Data Cloud. This is a strategic role that sits at the intersection of product, data, and AI.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the vision and strategy for AI-powered Reporting and Analytics across Rippling's Data Cloud
- Defining how reporting works across the platform, including AI-generated reports, agentic proactive insights, pre-built and customizable reports, and embedded reporting surfaces
- Leading the next generation of agentic analytics: answering questions, explaining trends, monitoring metrics, surfacing meaningful changes, and recommending actions
- Partnering with the Data Catalog team to ensure reporting experiences understand data meaning, find the right sources, and present trusted answers
- Collaborating with product teams across Payroll, Recruiting, HR, IT, Finance, and other Rippling applications to identify platform patterns that should be solved centrally
- Enabling third-party developers and internal teams to define, package, and ship analytics products and reports
- Working closely with engineering teams in San Francisco and Seattle, plus cross-functional partners in Product, Design, AI, Data Catalog, Developer Platform, and native application teams
- Engaging directly with enterprise and mid-market customers to understand workflows, validate product direction, drive adoption, and measure value
- Using AI daily in your own work to synthesize research, explore data, prototype experiences, and test ideas faster
- Translating ambiguous customer and platform needs into clear jobs-to-be-done, product requirements, milestones, and launch plans
You will be at the forefront of shaping the next generation of AI-powered analytics for both first-party and third-party application data in a single platform.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product management experience with a track record of shipping complex B2B products to external customers
- Deep experience in analytics, reporting, BI, data platforms, data products, or adjacent customer-facing data products
- Experience building products customers paid for and used directly; internal-only data tooling, analytics implementation, or dashboard-building experience alone is insufficient
- Strong product judgment for data-heavy workflows, including how business users think about metrics, reports, permissions, data quality, and decision-making
- Technical fluency in data modeling, querying, metrics, semantic layers, permissions, and platform trade-offs, with ability to work deeply with engineering
- Strong systems thinking and ability to connect reporting needs across many products without creating one-off solutions
- Excellent customer and UX judgment, with ability to make sophisticated analysis feel simple, intuitive, and trustworthy
- AI fluency and curiosity, especially around how agents can investigate questions, monitor data, generate reports, explain insights, and recommend actions
- Experience with agentic workflows or AI-powered analytics products is a strong plus but not required
- Ability to co-own problem framing and solution strategy with engineering and design partners, question assumptions, and resolve trade-offs constructively
- Clear, concise communication skills to explain technical product concepts to executives, engineers, customers, and non-technical users
- High ownership and autonomy; ability to ship reliably without day-to-day oversight
- Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with limited resources, tight timelines, and high expectations for product quality
- Alignment with Rippling's leadership principles, especially pushing the limits of possible, challenging directly, and seeing customer problems firsthand
