Clara is a fast-growing B2B fintech platform in Latin America offering spend management solutions including corporate cards, bill pay, financing, and a B2B platform. You will own the strategy, execution, and business outcomes for Clara's Collections squad, sitting at the intersection of credit risk, finance operations, and customer experience. Your mission is to recover what's owed efficiently, compliantly, and without compromising customer trust. Key responsibilities: - Own discovery, prioritization, and business outcomes for the squad, driving impact across recovery rates, days-to-resolution, roll rates, and operational costs - Conduct weekly conversations with internal finance and collections teams to identify friction points, automate manual tasks, and optimize operational tooling - Design and iterate on collections workflows, from automated early-stage nudges and digital payment use cases to late-stage escalation paths and external partner handoffs - Manage delinquent portfolio tools, early delinquency signals, and regulatory compliance requirements across Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil - Prototype and validate product ideas using AI tools before committing engineering bandwidth; occasionally contribute code changes (copy, configuration, feature flags, analytics instrumentation) via GitHub PRs - Collaborate closely with engineering to support system reliability, uptime, and rapid recovery processes - Partner with senior software engineers, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Customer Support teams Clara operates on a hybrid model with flexibility focused on results. The company offers competitive salary, stock options (ESOP), annual learning budget, and a multicultural environment with exposure to Portuguese, Spanish, and English. **Requirements:** Must haves: - Working proficiency in English - 5+ years in product management, with at least 2 years owning a credit, collections, or risk-adjacent product within a fintech, bank, or lending company - Proven track record of directly moving core business metrics and taking full ownership of product outcomes from discovery to execution - Hands-on technical fluency with web architecture concepts (APIs, services, databases, message queuing) and comfortable using GitHub workflows (branches, commits, PRs, diffs) - Experience or interest in AI tools to automate workflows, validate ideas early, and optimize day-to-day work - Strong data literacy with hands-on experience writing SQL, conducting cohort analysis, and running experiment design - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders - Adaptability to fast-changing environments, operating with high agency and a bias toward action Nice to haves: - Basic proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese or a desire to learn it - Cross-border experience across Latin American markets (Mexico, Colombia, Brazil), including knowledge of market-specific payment gateways, external collections agency integrations, or local debt recovery regulations - Independent analytical skills using spreadsheets, SQL, or Python to build custom dashboards and run deep-dive data pulls - A good sense of humor
