Rippling AI is a core product differentiator that helps businesses manage HR, IT, Finance, and Payroll by writing real queries against live data, showing its work, and taking real action on behalf of customers—not by generating plausible responses. The platform currently powers an AI Assistant that can execute multi-step tasks across the Rippling ecosystem.
As Product Lead for the AI Platform, you will own the foundational platform layer that enables all AI capabilities across Rippling. Your responsibilities include:
**Roadmap & Strategy**: Own the AI Platform roadmap, including the skills framework, routing logic, tool orchestration, and the reasoning loop that powers multi-step agent tasks.
**Developer Experience**: Make it trivially easy for any product team to ship new AI capabilities—from read-only queries to write actions that stage payroll runs, grant system access, or reassign employees. You'll design the frameworks and abstractions that product teams use to extend the AI Assistant.
**Scaling & Economics**: Partner with the AI platform engineering team to scale the assistant to customers of all sizes while managing the economics of every query. You'll optimize for cost, latency, and reliability.
**Agent Platform**: Turn the AI Assistant into a true autonomous agent platform that can take real action across every Rippling product, handling complex workflows and multi-step reasoning.
You'll work cross-functionally with product teams, engineering, and the AI platform engineering group to define the platform's capabilities, prioritize features, and ensure the system scales reliably. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of product strategy and AI infrastructure, requiring deep product thinking about how to abstract complex AI capabilities into simple, composable building blocks.
