Moss is a Finance AI platform for Europe's mid-sized businesses, automating card issuing, invoice management, and expenses. The company recently closed a €35 million Series C in August 2026, achieving a €1 billion valuation and becoming one of Europe's newest fintech unicorns. With 300+ employees across 5 European offices and 10,000+ business customers, Moss is expanding rapidly.
You will serve as the accounting authority for Moss's Product team, acting as the bridge between customer finance needs and technical implementation. Your role combines deep domain expertise with product thinking, ensuring that all releases meet the highest standards of accounting correctness and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to scope solutions addressing real customer accounting problems
- Translate customer needs and accounting rules into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams
- Review and sign off on release quality, with authority to hold releases when accounting correctness is at risk
- Engage with customers and accounting partners to understand how finance teams interact with DATEV and the broader SMB tooling ecosystem
- Serve as the accounting reference point for product teams across Moss
- Contribute forward-looking perspectives on accounting tooling trends to roadmap discussions

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in an SMB context (accounting firm, tax advisory, or finance team)
- Experience building or implementing accounting software for customers or your own organization
- Strong working knowledge of DATEV
- Fluent in German and English
- Nice to have: NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics experience
