Wispr is an AI research and product company building voice interfaces for computing. The company's first products—Flow (a natural voice interface for any application) and Notetaker (which builds context across conversations)—represent a shift toward interfaces that can perceive, understand, and take action with earned trust.
As a Product Engineer, Growth, you will own the activation curve for Wispr's products, focusing on onboarding, first dictation, and the path from trial to reliance. The company onboards hundreds of thousands of users quarterly, but most haven't yet reached the moment voice becomes natural in their workflow. Your role is to solve this inside the product itself, not at the edges.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the activation curve: design and optimize onboarding flows, first-use experiences, and habit formation
- Ship experiments rapidly, interpret results honestly, and scale winners while killing losers
- Improve randomization, exposure, instrumentation, and analysis to ensure trustworthy results
- Close funnel gaps across platforms by collaborating with product and engineering teams
- Answer product questions with data and recognize when measurement is misleading
- Take ownership of ambiguous problems and chart the path forward
Wispr is a talent-dense team that holds strong opinions, tests them quickly, and builds technology that sparks joy. The company is Series B-funded and focused on building the first voice interface used daily by a billion people.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to move a funnel metric; can explain the before state, after state, and causality of your work
- Experience killing your own experiments when evidence contradicted the hypothesis
- Ability to ship at production quality while preferring several clear iterations to one perfect launch
- Comfort answering product questions with data and recognizing when measurement is misleading
- Ownership mindset when the problem or path forward is ambiguous
- Product-led growth, experimentation platform, or SQL experience is helpful but not required
- Voice, ML, or native desktop/mobile experience is not required
