Faire is a technology wholesale platform connecting independent retailers globally with curated product catalogs. The Brand pillar mission is to enable brands to create high-quality product listings, maintain them, and reach retailers efficiently—helping Main Street compete with big-box stores.
As a Product Engineer on the Brand team, you will own end-to-end feature development, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and data teams. You'll identify opportunities and oversee complex multi-phase projects from concept through implementation across backend, frontend, and mobile platforms. Your responsibilities include building scalable, high-performance web applications, optimizing for peak performance, and mentoring fellow engineers on both technical and product judgment.
You're entrepreneurial and data-driven with strong product sense. You balance excitement for shipping features with focus on long-term maintainability. You're curious about how customers' businesses work and what they need to succeed. You're interested in leveraging AI productivity tools to accelerate customer impact and helping independent retailers and brands thrive through technology.
The role requires 2+ years of experience with proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript. You should be comfortable with agentic coding tools and familiar with HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and frameworks like React or Next.js. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience is required.
Tech stack includes Kotlin, Java, JavaScript, React, Next.js, JUnit, Hibernate, Guice, Jersey, MySQL, CockroachDB, and AWS. Hybrid role with 3 days/week in office (Tuesdays, Thursdays, plus one flex day) and flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks annually.
