Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Product Development Process Engineer to join the Hardware Platform Organization, the central hardware engineering org that builds shared technologies, tools, and infrastructure powering hardware development across all divisions—from actuators and propulsion to batteries, avionics, and rocket motors. In this role, you will define, build, and roll out the processes and tools that hardware engineering teams use to design, develop, and qualify products. You'll partner directly with engineering and program leadership to establish scalable workflows, own the central engineering standards repository, and drive adoption across a fast-growing hardware portfolio. Key responsibilities include: - Defining and maintaining the architecture for hardware product development processes, including design review gates, qualification campaign definitions, and production readiness criteria - Owning and evolving the central engineering standards repository covering design standards, analysis standards, and the product maturity framework - Partnering with the tools development team to build and iterate on the PDP toolset for a large, cross-functional user base - Collaborating with engineering, program, and cross-functional leadership to align on best practices for design, test, and entry/exit criteria across development milestones - Drafting process workflows, user guides, and standard operating procedures that translate complex requirements into clear, usable resources - Gathering requirements across impacted teams, consolidating them into actionable process documentation, and managing releases through the PDP tool - Leading rollout of new processes across departments, including coordinating training workshops, release kickoffs, and stakeholder alignment - Building and maintaining feedback loops to monitor adoption, collect input from engineering teams, and drive continuous improvement Required qualifications: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field; 5+ years as a Design Engineer, Development Engineer, Process Development Engineer, Product Manager, or similar role; hands-on mechanical or electrical design/development experience with a track record of bringing hardware products to market; experience working on advanced hardware systems with cross-functional engineering teams; knowledge of design and development toolchains (CAD, PLM, etc.); familiarity with defense industry standards and compliance frameworks; U.S. Person status required. Preferred qualifications include M.S. in technical engineering field, ability to obtain and hold U.S. Secret Clearance, experience designing or architecting custom engineering tools or workflows, experience developing training materials and documentation for technical audiences, and project management experience or PMP certification.
