Thumbtack is a marketplace platform helping millions of homeowners care for their homes by connecting them with local service professionals. The company operates in every U.S. county and is expanding through strategic partnerships. You'll join the Partnerships team as a Product Designer, working at the intersection of go-to-market design and in-product brand experience. This role uniquely emphasizes prototyping, motion design, and brand system translation—more so than typical product design positions. You'll create interactive demos and motion-rich experiences for partners while elevating motion and brand craft across live product surfaces. Key responsibilities include: leading significant portions of product experience with accountability for business outcomes; conducting user research and lightweight tests to scope initiatives; transforming ambitious ideas into compelling business cases with clear success criteria; championing deep learnings alongside traditional metrics; partnering with marketing, engineering, data, and applied scientists to ideate and deliver solutions; coordinating cross-team alignment; and driving high-impact initiatives from seed to scale. You'll work closely with Business Development, Sales, Go-to-Market Operations, Product, and Brand teams. The design team is tight-knit, collaborating through critiques, work sessions, and presentations to influence product direction. Required qualifications: 3–5 years of product design experience with a blend of agency and in-house work; advanced Figma prototyping skills (low to high-fidelity with motion and interaction); proven ability creating polished micro-interactions, transitions, and animations with strong craft and timing; experience translating brand systems into product experiences; understanding of technical feasibility and engineering collaboration; and strong communication and visual storytelling skills.
