Halter is a venture-backed agtech company transforming grazing management through innovative hardware and software. The company enables farmers and ranchers to manage large herds with precision and sustainability—imagine 500 cattle walking calmly to their next grazing area without quad bikes, dogs, or fences. Backed by tier-1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and DCVC, Halter is scaling globally.
As Head of Creative Design, you will lead and elevate Halter's creative function as the company scales internationally. You'll oversee a multidisciplinary team of graphic designers, videographers, editors, and motion graphics artists, setting visual standards across all touchpoints: content, campaigns, events, sales tools, presentations, merchandise, employee branding, and more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and maintaining creative standards that ensure cohesive, distinctive visual identity across markets and channels
- Leading the creative team, providing clear direction, feedback, and coaching while building capability to support global expansion
- Collaborating with Brand and Product Design teams to create connected, considered visual experiences
- Simplifying complex technical concepts (Halter is both SaaS software and hardware) into clear, compelling visual narratives
- Building scalable processes, templates, and AI-enabled tools to help regional teams move faster on routine deliverables
- Owning the visual storytelling of Halter's product, from app abstractions to printed collateral to video assets
- Getting hands-on with design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci) when important work demands it
Recent creative work includes global events and activations, documentary series, TVCs shot in New Zealand and California, SaaS product launches, and merchandise worn by thousands of farmers.
You are a strategic thinker who can balance big-picture vision with detail-oriented execution. You have strong design fundamentals, sharp eye for craft, and experience in technical or software products. You're a builder who spots gaps and improves workflows, a people leader who inspires through vision and coaching, and a systems thinker who scales through smarter processes rather than just more hands. You're collaborative, comfortable leading from the front or supporting others, and driven by impact for end users rather than awards or credit.
