Oscar Health is seeking a Product Designer to join its Product Design team, focusing on the ICHRA (Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement) marketplace experience. In this role, you will design and ship tools that help employers easily manage health plan contributions for their employees within the Lucie ecosystem, which spans direct enrollment platforms for brokers, consumer marketplaces, and ICHRA tooling.
You will partner closely with a Senior Product Designer, collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, research, data, and operational stakeholders to take features from discovery through delivery. Your focus will be on shaping the ICHRA experience while contributing to other areas of the Lucie suite as needed. You will drive a consistent, scalable, and intuitive experience across the entire platform.
Key responsibilities include defining user experiences that support Oscar's mission to make healthcare affordable and accessible, becoming an expert on product users and their journeys, owning the design process and driving alignment on solutions, collaborating with other designers through critiques, performing user research and usability testing, designing visually compelling experiences, and contributing to Oscar's design language system (Anatomy).
The ideal candidate brings a strong visual design portfolio and proven track record designing complex enterprise software, data-intensive platforms, or workforce management tools. You should work autonomously across multiple technical domains from initial research through high-fidelity delivery, balancing execution speed with deep user empathy. Experience with modern design workflows and AI-assisted tools like Claude Code alongside Figma is valued.
This position is based in Oscar's Los Angeles office with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days in-office per week. Thursdays are mandatory for team meetings and events; the other two office days are flexible. You will report to the SVP of Product, Design, and Data.
