Figma is seeking a Product Designer to join the Content Management Systems (CMS) team. You'll design and ship end-to-end experiences that help organize, manage, and deliver content across Figma's products, working at the intersection of craft, systems thinking, and technical depth. In this role, you'll partner closely with engineering to shape platform capabilities and technical infrastructure supporting CMS and open-source initiatives. You'll translate technically complex systems into intuitive, elegant user experiences through prototyping, iteration, and close collaboration with product managers, engineers, researchers, and fellow designers. Key responsibilities include designing foundational experiences for millions of creators, contributing to product strategy and long-term vision by synthesizing customer insights with technical understanding, and raising the quality bar across the organization through thoughtful feedback and mentorship. You should have exceptional product design craft with strong visual and interaction skills, particularly in complex software where systems thinking is critical. Code should be part of your design process—you build working prototypes to explore ideas, understand technical possibilities, and communicate direction. You demonstrate the ability to move fast, form a point of view, test it, and adjust without complete information. You can define clear product and design vision in ambiguous spaces using customer insights and data, and have a track record of independently driving design from discovery through launch while balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business goals. Naturally curious about how software is built, you thrive in cross-functional partnerships and care deeply about the workflows of designers, developers, and creative makers. Experience building and shipping software through coding or AI-assisted development is a plus but not required. This is a full-time role based in San Francisco or New York, with flexibility to work remotely within the United States.
