Translucent is an agentic AI platform built exclusively for healthcare finance. Founded in 2024 and backed by GV, NEA, FPV, and Virtue, the company is deployed by healthcare organizations managing over $5 billion in combined revenue. Healthcare providers operate on razor-thin 2–5% margins while managing $2.5 trillion in annual medical expenditures, yet their finance teams remain buried in spreadsheets, manual data pulls, and disconnected systems. Translucent is solving this by giving finance teams AI Agents that run 24/7, understand their specific data, business logic, and workflows. As a Product Designer, you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Founding Designer and Product Engineering to take ideas from concept to shipped product. This is a hands-on, craft-focused role emphasizing execution and detail over strategy-setting. You'll transform complex financial and operational workflows into clear, usable, intuitive experiences while ensuring design intent survives to production. Key responsibilities include partnering with Product Engineering to move projects from concept to ship without hand-offs; hunting down "paper cuts" to refine screens and flows, fix inconsistencies, and design edge-case states (empty, loading, error); owning design QA by reviewing implementation against intent and holding the bar on typography, spacing, and interaction; formalizing ambitious concepts into clean, organized design files and reusable components; using and improving the design system as the product scales; and folding in feedback from Product, customers, and live usage to refine and iterate. You bring 5–8 years designing high-quality digital products, ideally in SaaS, analytics platforms, or AI-powered tools. You have strong UX and interaction design skills, can simplify complexity without flattening it, obsess over typography and hierarchy, and have experience designing for data-heavy, workflow-driven use cases. You produce production-ready designs and prototypes at a good clip, think beyond the screen to real user experience, and are genuinely driven to understand healthcare operators' workflows. You're a startup realist ready to sprint when priorities shift, work fluidly with Product and engineers, and explain the "why" behind your decisions. Nice-to-haves include experience with financial analytics, enterprise workflows, healthcare users, conversational interfaces, copilots, agents, generative AI UX patterns, design systems in production, prior startup experience, and coding ability.
