Salary: USD 160,000 - 192,000 / annual
Thatch is an early-stage, fully distributed healthtech company reimagining the health insurance experience in America. As a Product Designer, you'll be a core member of the design team, shaping the visual and experiential identity of the platform while working on complex, high-impact problems.
You'll own the full design lifecycle—from UX strategy and product design through to company branding and design systems. Your work will directly impact businesses, their teams, and brokers who use Thatch daily. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, growth, sales, operations, and leadership to deliver beautiful, intuitive experiences that help members access healthcare benefits with confidence and ease.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in all stages of product development, from ideation to production
- Developing and maintaining the design system and brand assets used across the company
- Creating UI components and designing complex user interactions
- Writing design documentation and guidelines for internal teams
- Continuously improving design standards, tooling, and processes
- Meeting users where they are in their journey and building trust through thoughtful, well-crafted experiences
You should have 4+ years of product design experience with a demonstrated obsession for understanding users and solving complex problems in ambiguous environments. You excel at balancing creative vision with execution, and you think from first principles about design fundamentals. Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus, as is background scaling high-growth tech companies or familiarity with healthcare, finance, or benefits domains.
