Simile is an AI-powered simulation platform that models human behavior at scale to help enterprises make critical business decisions. The company has raised over $200M at a $2B valuation and counts Fortune 100 companies like CVS Health, Wealthfront, Deloitte, and Gallup among its users. Since launching five months ago, Simile has grown revenue 5x and built proprietary foundation models for human behavior simulation.
You will join the Product & Design team as a senior designer owning significant product surfaces end-to-end. Your core challenge is making probabilistic concepts—populations, uncertainty, confidence intervals—structurally sound and visually obvious for Fortune 100 executives making nine-figure decisions. Clarity is not a feature; it is the product.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing new surfaces from scratch on 0-to-1 problems where no existing product category exists; you define the interaction model rather than inherit one
- Making complexity legible by transforming simulation outputs, confidence scores, and population-level behavior into interfaces that enterprise decision-makers can read, trust, and act on
- Owning both systems and craft: information architecture, interaction models, edge cases, feature composition, typography, motion, and detail
- Shipping code by making small-to-medium front-end changes yourself with AI tooling and engineering support, ensuring design intent survives production
- Evolving the design system as the company scales from single-product to multi-product
You must have 0-to-1 design experience (novel interaction paradigms, new categories, or invented patterns), strength in both visual and systems design, enterprise product experience designing for expert users and high-stakes workflows, and clarity of thought to explain and defend design decisions while moving quickly. Nice-to-haves include founding or early-startup experience, AI-native product design, data-dense interface design (analytics, research tools), and interest in behavioral science or social science.
