Regal is an AI Agent Platform founded in 2020 that enables companies to build and deploy AI agents for customer communications, support, sales, and operations. The company has raised $82M from top-tier investors including Emergence Capital and Homebrew, partnered with enterprise brands like Google, AAA, Ro, and Coursera, and has driven $7B in revenue for customers.
As a Product Designer, you will lead the visual and interaction design of Regal's platform during a pivotal moment as the company transitions to an AI-first product experience. You'll report to the VP of Product and work within a small, high-impact design team alongside Product Managers and Engineers.
Key responsibilities include: shaping Regal's design vision for the AI-first era by rethinking information architecture and user experience from the ground up; partnering directly with product and engineering in a triad model to set design direction and maintain high standards; conducting qualitative user research and usability testing to deeply understand customer problems and translate insights into design work; building and maintaining Regal's design system and patterns to enable the entire company to ship well-designed features quickly; and establishing strong working processes that ensure customer needs are met while maintaining design consistency.
You should have a strong portfolio demonstrating premium, thoughtful UI work across multiple projects. You need sharp UX instincts—the ability to design experiences that anticipate user needs while balancing functionality with designability. You're AI-native with current knowledge of AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Figma MCP, and you have a clear perspective on how design is evolving in the AI era, particularly for chat-heavy interfaces. You should have executed at least 3 major design initiatives at prior companies with meaningful customer or business impact, ideally including 2-3 major product redesigns. You're a great product teammate who goes deep on both customer and product insights, operates with urgency, seeks truth about solutions, communicates clearly, and leads naturally.
The role is hybrid, requiring in-office presence Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with Monday and Friday optional. The company is based in Midtown Manhattan and has built a strong in-person culture of entrepreneurs. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage (80% company-paid), flexible PTO with 11 paid holidays, subsidized ClassPass, 401k, paid parental leave, pre-tax commuter benefits, daily in-office breakfast and snacks, and team events.
