Highrise is a social platform and virtual world with millions of players globally, centered on identity, self-expression, and play. You'll join as a Product Designer to shape how millions experience play and friendship daily.
You'll own design problems end-to-end: from player research and problem definition through flows, wireframes, and polished production-ready UI that ships to live players. This is not a handoff role—you see work through from conception to launch and monitor how it performs in players' hands. The team ships fast, iterates on live community feedback, and maintains high standards across everything released.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own complete design workflows: research, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI
- Design experiences around play, self-expression, and friendship for a complex, deeply-featured product
- Build and strengthen the design system, establishing patterns and maintaining consistency
- Back decisions with player interviews, usage data, and competitive analysis
- Iterate relentlessly based on live feedback and real-world performance
The company seeks one of two profiles: an early-career designer with rare talent whose portfolio outclasses most seniors, or a seasoned designer with a proven track record shipping world-class products at scale. The bar on fundamentals—typography, hierarchy, spacing, color, interaction—is non-negotiable.
You'll need impeccable visual craft, clear decision-making, fluency in Figma and modern design tools (comfort with AI-assisted workflows is a plus), and a complete ownership mentality. A genuine passion for games, social products, or virtual worlds is strongly valued.
