Perry Weather is a weather safety platform serving 3,000+ organizations including the PGA, NFL, MLB, Turner Construction, school districts, and golf courses. The company has grown 80%+ annually for five consecutive years and is headquartered in Dallas. This Product Designer role focuses on end-to-end UX/UI design for a mission-critical platform where users operate in high-pressure, non-desktop environments. You'll design for athletic directors clearing fields in seconds, foremen on 500-acre job sites, and distribution center managers where downtime costs $10,000 per minute. The design challenge is unique: clarity under pressure directly impacts safety outcomes, not just user satisfaction. Key responsibilities include leading UX/UI from concept through shipped features, conducting discovery calls and user research directly with customers, writing product copy, and QA testing releases. You'll use AI tools to rapidly explore multiple design directions, build functioning prototypes in code, and deliver customer-ready solutions within days. You'll define and maintain a scalable design system tied to the front-end, own platform coherence across multiple industries and use cases, and shape Perry Weather's design voice. Required experience: 5+ years in product design, ideally B2B SaaS, with proven ability to design complex data-heavy workflows for non-desktop users in real operating conditions. You must be expert in Figma (components, tokens, auto layout), fluent with AI design tools, experienced building design systems tied to React/MUI frameworks, and comfortable with UX research methods. Strong product thinking, exceptional attention to detail, accessibility awareness, and excellent writing skills are essential. You'll work independently on multiple projects in a fast-moving environment. The role is based in Dallas at The Centrum in Oak Lawn, with full-time in-office collaboration Monday-Friday. Benefits include competitive health insurance, 401(k) with matching, voluntary benefits, and a strong company culture with monthly all-hands, team events, and happy hours.
