Gallatin is rebuilding logistics infrastructure for US national security missions, building AI systems that determine how logistics decisions are made. The company operates at the intersection of data and decision-making, serving military and allied defense operations.
As a Product Designer, you will collaborate with senior designers and engineers to create intuitive, impactful solutions for military logistics decision-making. You'll work in a fast-paced startup environment contributing to national defense while developing your design career.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with senior designers to create user interfaces and experiences for military logistics operations
- Developing wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes using industry-standard design tools
- Conducting user research and testing with military stakeholders to validate design decisions
- Supporting the creation of visual design systems that maintain consistency across brand and products
- Working closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of designs
- Participating in design reviews and contributing to product strategy discussions
- Documenting design decisions and maintaining design specifications

REQUIREMENTS:
- US Citizenship (required for defense-related projects)
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- 1-2 years of product design experience, preferably in a startup environment
- Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and modern design/prototyping tools
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design capabilities
- Excellent visual design skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions
- Willingness to travel occasionally for user research and client meetings
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
- Ability to work in classified environments when necessary
BONUS:
- Experience with or interest in defense/military applications
- Familiarity with agile development processes
- Knowledge of design systems and component libraries
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing
- Understanding of accessibility standards and requirements
