Co–Star is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape the future of an astrology platform that makes celestial insights accessible and shareable. You'll work across the full design lifecycle—from concept through launch—moving fluidly between product architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and visual design.
The role emphasizes craftsmanship and attention to detail. You'll design and build products that feel both unexpected and inevitable, informed by a unique blend of 4,000-year-old astrological systems, NASA planetary data, and writing by astrologers and poets. You'll collaborate closely with engineering and design teams on new features and launches, ensuring every detail—typography, layout, motion, responsiveness, loading states, performance—contributes to a considered experience.
You'll prototype ideas quickly using Figma, Claude, Cursor, and other tools that move work forward. Rather than creating presentations, you'll build working prototypes to test and validate concepts. You may also contribute visual assets for marketing initiatives.
Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience designing and building for the web. You move fluidly across the full design process and have an instinct for details that make interfaces feel intentional. You understand HTML and CSS well enough to work effectively with engineers or build parts of the experience yourself. Comfort with AI-assisted tools like Claude Code and Cursor is a plus. Portfolio required; the company values what you've made over where you've worked.
Full-time, hybrid role based in San Francisco or New York. Compensation: $150,500–$185,000 plus benefits.
