CodeRabbit is the leading AI code review platform trusted by 17,000+ customers and 150,000 open-source projects, processing over 2 million code reviews weekly. The company recently closed a $143M Series C at $1.5B valuation and is building Agentic Change Management—a control layer for software changes created by humans and AI.
As Product Designer, you will shape how millions of developers experience AI-powered code review across IDEs, Git platforms, CLI, and web surfaces. This is a high-ownership role focused on visual and interaction design excellence. You'll own design strategy and the design system across the product suite, setting the bar for craft and building a team of exceptional designers.
Key responsibilities include: owning end-to-end design from research through high-fidelity visual design and sometimes implementation; crafting polished, trustworthy interfaces that make complex code analysis feel effortless; defining interaction patterns and micro-interactions for emerging AI experiences; building and scaling a comprehensive design system spanning multiple platforms; designing clear visualizations for code quality metrics and AI-generated insights; partnering cross-functionally with engineering, product, and AI teams; prototyping rapidly to communicate concepts; and establishing design best practices across the team.
You should be exceptional at both visual and interaction design—a master of typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and motion with an instinct for details that make products feel alive and trustworthy. You ship fast while maintaining craft, are AI-native in your work, and excited to rethink UI primitives for AI and developer tools. You lead through craft and collaboration, communicating design decisions clearly and influencing without authority.
Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing polished UI and innovative interaction design; proven track record shipping complex technical products end-to-end in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; experience creating and maintaining scalable design systems across multiple platforms; mastery of Figma and comfort prototyping with front-end code (HTML/CSS/JS); and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills. Nice-to-haves include experience at developer-focused companies (GitHub, Postman, Hasura), background in software development and Git workflows, experience designing IDE extensions or AI/ML interfaces, and contributions to open-source design systems.
