Carmoola is a fast-growing fintech revolutionizing car finance in the UK. Since launch, the company has raised over £540m from top-tier investors and served 22,000+ customers, earning a customer NPS of +97 and TrustPilot score of 4.9/5. The company was named the UK's 6th fastest growing company and is scaling rapidly. As a Product Designer reporting to the Director of Product, you will lead the design of world-class digital experiences across Carmoola's mobile app and web platforms. Your primary focus (~80%) is creating stunning, intuitive product flows that delight customers—from concept through execution. You'll work closely with product managers and engineering teams to refine and implement designs, run creative design sessions with cross-functional stakeholders, and use Figma and animation tools to craft dynamic, delightful interactions. Secondarily (~20%), you'll support the marketing and growth teams by designing striking visual assets, campaign templates, and website improvements while serving as a guardian of the Carmoola brand aesthetic across all customer touchpoints. You bring at least 5 years of product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI/UX and graphic design. You're passionate about user-centered design principles and behavioral design, with a track record of running user research and translating insights into improved experiences. You're proficient in Figma, skilled in illustration and animation, detail-oriented, and collaborative—comfortable incorporating feedback and viewing designs from multiple perspectives. You stay current with design trends and emerging tools, including AI-driven solutions. The role is hybrid (3 days/week in the Primrose Hill office, London) with flexibility to work remotely 15 days annually. Compensation is £70k–90k with performance-based reviews, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and a birthday day off, private healthcare, 5% pension match, and the opportunity to shape fintech at a critical growth stage.
