Bridgit is the category leader in workforce planning software for the construction industry, working with the largest and most sophisticated US general contractors. The construction industry faces a severe labor shortage and is at an inflection point requiring modernized talent and people strategies.
As a Product Designer, you will own the design experience across one or more product streams, working closely with product managers and engineering to conceive, define, and ship high-quality product experiences. You'll play a central role in shaping Bridgit's future, particularly as AI surfaces insights and takes action on behalf of users.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end design for your product stream, from early-stage problem framing through detailed UI execution and post-launch iteration
- Design AI-powered experiences thoughtfully, including conversational interfaces, AI-generated insights, and agent interactions that build trust with construction users
- Translate complex workflows and data-heavy domains into clear, intuitive interfaces that reduce cognitive load and drive meaningful action
- Lead discovery and research activities including interviews, usability tests, and workflow mapping to develop deep understanding of construction professionals' work
- Collaborate with product and engineering partners to shape product direction and contribute to roadmap decisions
- Build and contribute to a shared design system ensuring visual consistency and team velocity
- Use data and analytics to validate design decisions, identify friction points, and measure impact of shipped experiences
- Become a deep expert on Bridgit's data, workflows, and mental models
You bring 3+ years of product design experience in web-based SaaS environments, working within agile teams alongside engineers and product managers. Your portfolio demonstrates end-to-end design ownership from research through polished, shipped UI. You have proven experience with AI-powered products, having shipped features where AI plays an active role, and can speak confidently to design challenges: setting user expectations, handling uncertainty, and keeping humans in control. You're fluent with complex, data-dense products and know how to make information-heavy workflows feel clear, structured, and actionable. You're a systems thinker who considers how individual design decisions ripple across flows and the broader product experience. You approach collaboration with low ego, share work early, welcome critique, and treat iteration as part of the process. You communicate design rationale clearly to engineers, PMs, and senior stakeholders, and you're comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve.
