Assort Health is building AI-native healthcare infrastructure that creates continuous patient conversations across the care journey. The company has grown from 15 people in 2025 to 250+ by end of 2026, with 20x revenue growth in 15 months and $222M raised (including $120M Series C at $1.2B valuation). They operate the largest proprietary specialty dataset in healthcare: 210M patient interactions, 62K care protocols, and 1.6M decision pathways.
As Product Designer, you'll own end-to-end product design across three distinct user groups: internal operators, clinic staff, and patients. You'll shape roadmap decisions, define core experiences, and ship at speed without compromising craft. Your work will directly influence commercial outcomes—ARR, retention, and expansion—making design a growth lever. You'll design AI-native experiences that balance technical sophistication with accessibility across different user contexts and fluency levels.
Key responsibilities include designing across multiple personas and surfaces, maintaining and scaling the design system for consistency, setting the bar for UI/UX quality, and partnering closely with Product and Engineering to iterate rapidly. You'll leverage AI tooling throughout your workflow—research, storytelling, UI copy—and move fluidly between design and development boundaries using prototyping tools like Figma Make and Cursor.
Required: 5+ years shipping production-ready digital products (startup experience strongly preferred). Demonstrated track record designing complex, high-stakes AI-driven products across multiple personas. Portfolio showing systems thinking: full flows, edge cases, component architecture, and sharp interaction design. Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, make confident calls, iterate quickly, and hand off with precision. Deep Figma fluency with 90%+ of work using auto-layout and components. Comfortable with vibe-coding and prototyping.
Nice to have: Early design hire or founding designer experience. Design engineering background with appetite for hands-on work maintaining design systems or shipping front-end UI.
