Adapt is building a platform for companies to create, operate, and govern central AI agents. The platform connects AI models to enterprise systems, data, people, and workflows—with persistent memory, secure compute, deep integrations, reusable skills, and enterprise controls. This is a founding designer role, joining a small, high-output product and engineering team. You'll own end-to-end product design across the full lifecycle: from customer problem discovery through exploration, implementation, launch, and learning from real usage. You'll define how companies build, run, and govern their central agent within Adapt. The role emphasizes taste, craft, and shipping—turning ambiguous problems into clear, high-quality product experiences. Key responsibilities include building a design system from scratch, prototyping, and shipping in code when that accelerates progress. You'll work closely with product and engineering in a fast-moving startup environment where design decisions directly impact the platform's usability and adoption. Ideal candidates have 4–7+ years of professional product design experience, preferably in AI, developer tools, infrastructure, enterprise software, or data products. You should have shipped work at early-stage startups (seed through Series B) or have a strong portfolio of personal projects demonstrating range. Expertise in Figma and modern prototyping is expected. You're comfortable writing front-end code (HTML/CSS/Tailwind minimum, ideally React) and shipping your own work to production alongside engineers. Your portfolio should showcase shipped product work, complex systems made understandable, and consistent end-to-end ownership from customer problem through final implementation. You have a strong interest in AI tools and models, with clear opinions on what great AI products should feel like.
