Applied Intuition is a $15B-valued AI infrastructure company powering physical intelligence across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. They're seeking a Product Designer to lead design across fleet management, mission control systems, OTA update flows, vehicle management software, and internal "workbench" vehicle OS tooling. In this role, you'll blend tools and HMI (human-machine interface) design to shape critical software systems. You'll move fluidly between defense and commercial/trucking use cases, treating them as related design problems. You'll collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to create and validate design solutions, work in fast release cycles, and take significant ownership and autonomy on a strategically important new project. Key responsibilities include leading design across multiple product areas, working independently in a fast-paced environment, and taking ownership of ambiguous problems with minimal oversight. The role is positioned as an accelerator for someone ready to lead design direction. Required qualifications: 5-7 years of product, tools, or interaction design experience spanning enterprise, commercial, or consumer-facing products; strong visual and interaction design skills; ability to work independently; entrepreneurial mindset. Nice-to-have: background in game design or interactive/real-time systems, experience at defense/space/robotics companies, experience at AI/agentic companies, or experience building 0-to-1 tools or internal software platforms. Applied Intuition is headquartered in Sunnyvale with offices globally (DC, San Diego, London, Stuttgart, Munich, Stockholm, Bangalore, Seoul, Tokyo). The company expects full-time employees to work in-office 5 days/week with flexibility for occasional remote work and schedule adjustments.
