Kela Technologies is building a secure, open platform that enables rapid and seamless integration of commercial and military systems for Western defense. The Product Design team is responsible for shaping the experience of operators, engineers, and partners using the Kela platform.
In this role, you will design systems that enable rapid, secure integration of commercial and military technologies in real-world operational environments. Your focus is ensuring the platform is not only powerful but usable under pressure. You will bridge user needs, technical constraints, and operational realities, transforming complex system capabilities into clear, actionable product experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design end-to-end product experiences from concept and prototyping through launch and iteration
- Translate complex operational and technical requirements into intuitive user flows, interfaces, and system interactions
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Security teams, and external stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible, secure, and mission-ready
- Own product design artifacts including user journeys, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and interaction specifications
- Support product discovery through research, stakeholder interviews, and rapid prototyping
- Ensure consistency and scalability across the platform through design systems and shared patterns
- Identify usability risks and propose proactive design solutions for high-pressure operational contexts
- Stay current on product design trends, defense-tech UX, and complex system interface evolution
You are equal parts designer, systems thinker, and problem solver, comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.
