Abnormal AI is seeking a Principal, Strategy & Transformation to join the Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy team, supporting sales, marketing, and customer success functions in identifying and executing strategic GTM initiatives. This is an AI-native, vertically integrated role designed to collapse the traditional pyramid structure. Rather than having an analyst pull data, a manager shape narrative, and a partner-level person package and present recommendations, this role combines all three functions into one. You will source data yourself, build models, run analysis with AI doing the heavy lifting, package recommendations, and manage senior stakeholders with partner-level judgment. Key responsibilities include: - Framing and breaking down complex business problems, developing hypotheses, and driving analysis to recommendations using AI tools (LLMs, coding agents, SQL/Python copilots) as your default workflow - Building and iterating on analyses, models, and dashboards independently that would traditionally require a team of analysts - Working across cross-functional stakeholders to gather information, pressure-test hypotheses, and co-create deliverables - Presenting recommendations that withstand executive scrutiny - Driving cross-functional execution after recommendations land, ensuring teams have context, keeping timelines honest, and escalating blockers - Wearing multiple hats as needed: strategy, project management, hands-on execution - Coaching analysts and strategy team members on leveraging AI to extend their output The role extends beyond analysis to execution ownership. You are expected to chase cross-functional work, keep teams accountable on timing, and escalate before issues slip quietly. REQUIREMENTS: - High agency: you identify and solve problems without waiting for perfect data or permission - AI-fluent by default: you already use Claude, ChatGPT, coding agents, and analysis tools as your primary workflow for analysis and modeling; you can prompt and iterate to produce output normally requiring a small analyst team - Vertically integrated: you perform analyst-level work (data pulls, modeling, analysis) and associate-partner-level work (packaging recommendations, managing senior stakeholders) without delegating either - Ownership extending beyond recommendations: you chase cross-functional execution, keep teams honest on timing, and escalate proactively - 3+ years post-MBA experience, with at least 2 years in management consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG), private equity, or top-tier tech strategy/bizops function, or equivalent demonstrated output - MBA from a top-tier B-school, or direct-promote track record in consulting - Deep experience in enterprise tech; cybersecurity knowledge is a plus - Comfortable building relationships and leading through influence without formal authority - Experience managing projects and large-scale transformations - Strong verbal and written communication with senior audiences (business and technical) - Self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision in fast-moving environments NICE TO HAVES: - Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT data analysis mode) to build lightweight tools or automations - Background in cybersecurity or high-growth SaaS
