Moxie is a high-growth B2B SaaS platform empowering aesthetic entrepreneurs to build profitable, independent practices. The company has scaled from concept to supporting 700+ practices nationwide with a global, remote-first team.
As Principal Strategic Finance, you'll report to the CFO and own the financial infrastructure that drives capital allocation and strategic decision-making across the company. This is a strategic role, not a back-office reporting seat—your analysis directly influences what gets funded and shapes the company's growth trajectory.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with the Controller to enhance monthly budget-vs-actual analysis, build live departmental dashboards, and reduce close timelines
- Own forecasting and business review cadence, including variance analysis and board reporting
- Take over GMV forecasting model ownership, working with BizOps on methodology, cohort-based provider launch modeling, and rate/volume decomposition
- Proactively identify emerging trends and risks before they materialize
- Improve and document core financial processes (budget-vs-actual, variance reporting, ROI frameworks) for accuracy and efficiency
- Act as trusted partner to cross-functional leaders, identifying cost-reduction and unit-economics opportunities
- Implement and own the strategic finance tech stack rollout
- Develop and pitch strategic initiatives, supporting efforts like M&A as the role evolves
You'll bring 6+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or high-growth startup finance, with demonstrated success building or leading strategic finance functions. You're equally comfortable building detailed financial models and influencing board narratives and capital allocation decisions. You operate independently, build cross-functional trust, and drive process improvements rather than maintaining inherited systems. You view finance as a strategic partner, not a back-office function.
