Drata is seeking a Principal Product Operations Manager to define and scale the operating model that enables Product, Design, and Engineering to execute with clarity, rigor, and speed. This is a highly strategic, cross-functional leadership role responsible for shaping how product investments are prioritized, planned, measured, and communicated across the company.
You will partner closely with executive leaders across Product, Design, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and Operations to drive alignment on product strategy, annual and quarterly planning, roadmap governance, portfolio health, experimentation, and business outcomes. You will serve as a force multiplier for the product organization by establishing the systems, cadences, and insights that help teams make better decisions and deliver greater impact at scale.
Key responsibilities include: owning and evolving the product operating model including planning frameworks, prioritization practices, and governance mechanisms; leading company-level product planning and roadmap operations; establishing scalable mechanisms to improve visibility and accountability across the product development lifecycle; driving portfolio-level insight and operational rigor by tracking strategic initiatives and outcome attainment; partnering with cross-functional teams to improve how customer feedback and market signals inform product decisions; building executive-ready reporting on roadmap progress and key metrics; identifying structural inefficiencies and leading high-impact improvement initiatives; evaluating and optimizing tooling and workflows; developing scalable frameworks for experimentation and learning; creating documentation and playbooks for product operations; influencing leaders through data-driven recommendations; and serving as a thought partner on organizational design and operational excellence.
You bring 10+ years of experience in product operations, product management, strategy and operations, or related disciplines, with significant experience in high-growth SaaS and AI-first environments. You have demonstrated success operating at principal or director level, influencing senior leaders and driving cross-functional change. You possess deep expertise in product development lifecycles, product management practices, design collaboration, and engineering partnership. You have strong experience leading portfolio planning, roadmap operations, and prioritization processes. You excel at analytical and systems thinking, translating data into strategic insights and operational recommendations. You have strong command of product and business analytics tools such as Segment and Amplitude.
