Salary: USD 148,782 - 185,977 / annual
Constant Contact is seeking a Principal Product Manager to shape and grow its partner ecosystem through product innovation and strategy. This is an individual contributor role with company-wide scope, focused on vertical partnerships—tailoring the platform and partner experiences to the needs of specific industries (e.g., Real Estate) and repeating that success across multiple verticals.
You will own the product strategy, roadmap, and launch of partner-driven experiences across multiple industry verticals. Key responsibilities include:
- Building a reusable vertical model: defining how to identify, validate, and enter a new vertical, and which components carry over from one to the next
- Defining and shipping integrations, embedded experiences, co-built offers, templates, and marketplace listings with partners (platforms, industry associations, networks, franchises, agencies, resellers, ecommerce providers, AI companies)
- Working with engineering on APIs, data flows, authentication, and integration quality (reliability, security, maintenance)
- Identifying where AI can accelerate partner and customer onboarding, content creation, and automation
- Running discovery with partners and customers, turning insights into clear roadmaps and prioritized backlogs
- Designing and running pilots with defined success criteria, making scale/change/stop decisions based on data
- Aligning and driving cross-functional teams (Design, Engineering, Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Support, Customer Success, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Data, Strategic Partnerships) through influence and shared goals
- Setting and tracking metrics for each partner product (partner-sourced accounts, activation, attach rate, retention, expansion, ASP, revenue)
- Sharing learnings, coaching colleagues, and raising the quality of partner-product practice
Constant Contact combines the strengths of an established company (30 years of customer trust, large small-business base, substantial resources) with startup pace and freedom. Initiative is expected and rewarded; you'll have room to identify opportunities and carry them through without lengthy approval chains. The company favors quick pilots, clear success criteria, and decisions based on results.
Within the first year, success is measured by: multiple vertical partner experiences launched with measurable growth in new accounts and revenue; a documented, repeatable playbook for entering new verticals tested across multiple markets; evidence-based decisions on which verticals to scale, adjust, or stop; and a prioritized pipeline of next verticals backed by market and customer evidence.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years in product management, ideally in B2B, SaaS, platform, marketplace, or partner-integration products (emphasis on what you've shipped and learned over years/titles)
- Experience taking a product from unclear problem through validation, MVP, and launch, ideally with an external partner or integration
- Comfort discussing APIs, integrations, data models, and system design with engineers; ability to write clear technical requirements
- Vertical SaaS or industry-specific partnership experience (e.g., Real Estate, financial services, home services)
- Experience with rev-share, co-sell, or embedded distribution models
- Experience linking product work to business results (acquisition, revenue, attach rate, retention)
- Experience turning customer and market insight into product decisions, ideally for small business or vertical audiences
- Track record of leading cross-functional work and driving results through influence
- Ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information and define structure where little exists
