Lean Technologies is hiring a Principal Product Manager to own product strategy and execution for LeanX, the company's cross-border payments and stablecoin infrastructure business. This is a startup-within-a-scale-up opportunity where you will shape the product from near inception, setting direction, prioritizing the roadmap, and working directly with engineering to build and scale. LeanX serves remittance companies, exchange houses, and businesses moving money across borders, primarily for person-to-person remittance and business payouts. The business is early but growing quickly, with first large clients going live. Much of current operations are manual; your role is to systematize and productize these workflows so the team can scale and defend the business. Key responsibilities include: **Product Strategy & Leadership**: Own LeanX's complete product strategy across all product lines. Turn strategy into clear specs, priorities, and roadmaps for the engineering team. Make priority trade-off decisions with visibility into team capacity. Shape and communicate long-term strategy across the company. **Cross-Border Payments Platform**: Build a competitive cross-border platform that scales to more volume, clients, and corridors without rebuilding each time. Make corridor launches repeatable, not one-off projects. Automate treasury operations (pre-funding, liquidity, FX, reconciliation) to eliminate manual money movement. Define the technical infrastructure needed and guide engineering. Simplify client integration and go-live through APIs, documentation, sandbox, and onboarding. Treat regulation, licensing, and partner coverage as product components to ensure defensibility. **Stablecoin Infrastructure**: Own the roadmap for stablecoin-native infrastructure including wallets-as-a-service, on/off-ramps, stablecoin acceptance, and payouts. Decide which adjacent opportunities to pursue and when to say no. **Platform Cohesion**: Ensure LeanX builds on Lean's core infrastructure rather than rebuilding. Keep one clean platform across stablecoin and fiat, across licenses and product lines. Align ways of working between teams. **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Be the first stop for product questions from clients, commercial, and the wider company so engineers focus on building. Work with commercial on pipeline and client go-live requirements. Set up automation for routine coordination. You will work as a member of the LeanX leadership team, partnering closely with the engineering team in Sarajevo and commercial team in Dubai. Regular travel to both locations is expected. Lean is the leading financial infrastructure provider in the Middle East, processing billions in transactions and trusted by 450+ clients including Tabby, Tas'heel, and Hungerstation. Backed by General Catalyst, Sequoia, and Shorooq, the company raised $67.5M in Series B and is expanding into new markets and capabilities. **Requirements**: - 8+ years in product management, including senior ownership of B2B or infrastructure products - Experience in cross-border payments, remittance, payouts, treasury, or stablecoin and digital asset infrastructure - Strong technical fluency: comfortable with APIs, system design conversations, and engineering trade-offs - Track record of taking products from early stage to scale, ideally in a startup or new business line - Comfort working in regulated environments, treating compliance and licensing as product inputs - Clear, concise written communication; ability to write specs and strategy documents yourself - Experience working with distributed engineering teams across time zones - High agency and good judgment under ambiguity - Plus: Experience in GCC, South Asia, or other emerging-market payment corridors - Plus: Experience building with AI tools to automate product and team workflows - Plus: Arabic language skills
