Fanatics is building a connected ecosystem across Betting & Gaming, Collectibles, Live, and FanApp, unified by a single identity and shared loyalty system. Currently, fans experience these products in isolation—acquiring and retaining users separately across verticals with limited cross-product discovery or connection.
You will own the social and community layer end-to-end: the growth thesis, roadmap, mechanics, growth metrics, and gamification. Your mandate is to transform how fans interact across the ecosystem by building social features that reduce acquisition cost, drive cross-product penetration, and create organic retention through shared experience and connection.
Key responsibilities include:
**Growth Thesis & Roadmap**: Define where ecosystem growth originates, which social mechanics unlock it, quantify the value of each lever, and sequence the build. Monitor consumer social trends and their implications for Fanatics.
**Product-Driven Acquisition**: Build invite, referral, and friend discovery mechanics directly into products rather than as adjacent features. Create acquisition loops that don't depend on media spend.
**Identity & Profiles**: Develop identity and public profiles as real products. Leverage fan data (teams followed, collections, engagement history) to personalize cross-product experiences and turn cross-sell into recognition.
**Retention Through Connection**: Design shared experiences and competitive mechanics that give fans reasons to return beyond push notifications. Build gamification that benefits the entire ecosystem.
**Measurement & Funding**: Make the value of social levers measurable and fundable. Track impact on blended acquisition cost, cross-product penetration, Fanatics ONE membership engagement, and progression from first to second and third products.
You will work with strong partners across Product, Design, Engineering, and Data. There is a shipped v1 to learn from and an open 2027 roadmap to define. Your work will appear across every Fanatics product, not confined to a single vertical.
**Requirements**: The posting does not explicitly state years of experience, required skills, education, or certifications. However, the role is positioned as a senior product leadership position requiring the ability to own complex cross-product strategy, influence without direct authority across multiple teams, and drive measurable business impact on acquisition and retention metrics.
