Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform spanning Commerce, Collectibles, Betting & Gaming, and Live experiences. The company operates as separate business units that share a common fan base of over 100 million users, with partnerships across 900 sports properties, 2,500 athletes, and 2,000+ retail locations. As Principal Product Manager for Ecosystem, you will own the connective tissue across five separate business units, making them feel like one integrated platform to fans. This is the widest product scope at Fanatics, spanning from consumer-facing surfaces down to shared infrastructure and platform capabilities. Key ownership areas include: **Consumer Surfaces & Daily Habit**: Own the Fanatics app as the front door to the ecosystem. Drive scores as a utility that becomes a daily habit, determining what fans see first, what brings them back, and how following a game naturally leads to betting, collecting, ticketing, or social engagement without feeling like a funnel. **User Acquisition & Onboarding**: Manage registration, onboarding, and first-session experience. Design cross-sell mechanics that feel relevant rather than forced. Own referral and invite mechanics, and drive adoption of single sign-on across all products as a growth lever, not just a hygiene metric. **Retention & Engagement**: Build habit loops that genuinely work. Own cohort retention analysis by product and entry point, identify where users drop off, and drive fixes rather than just reporting. Manage notification strategy to earn credibility rather than spend it down. **Free-to-Play**: Own the evolution of free-to-play as the ecosystem's workhorse—top of funnel for regulated products, engagement driver between wagers, and lowest-risk onboarding mechanism. Define game design, cadence, prizing, laddering into paid products, and measure true acquisition and retention value. **Loyalty & FanCash**: Own how FanCash (the unifying loyalty currency) surfaces in-product. Drive earn and burn moments, bonus engine visibility across surfaces, and ensure fans understand and feel the value of their loyalty program rather than treating it as a settings menu item. **Platform & Infrastructure**: Own pieces of the shared platform (identity, SDK, common components) that enable "build once, deploy everywhere." Drive adoption of shared components across op-co teams and ensure they're compelling enough to be the obvious choice. Participate in scaling decisions—what breaks at 10x traffic, where service boundaries should sit, and what needs building now to avoid 2027 rewrites. **Swing Mandate**: Take on the ecosystem's highest-value, unscoped problems. Go deep enough to solve them rather than triage, then either own the area long-term or hand it off cleanly. This role requires comfort with ambiguity and unscoped work. You'll work directly with the leader of the ecosystem function with their air cover. Your work compounds across five businesses rather than shipping once and going quiet. You'll own both consumer surfaces and the platform underneath them—a rare combination in product roles. **Requirements**: The posting does not explicitly state years of experience, education, or specific certifications. However, the role is positioned as Principal-level, indicating expectation of significant prior product leadership experience, deep expertise in multi-product ecosystems or platform strategy, and demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics across multiple business units.
