GitLab is seeking a Principal Product Manager to define and orchestrate the end-to-end software factory experience within its AI-powered DevSecOps platform. This is a senior, high-visibility role responsible for bringing together planning, specification, coding, review, and verification workflows into a cohesive customer experience.
You will define product vision and strategy for GitLab's software factory, connecting capabilities across the GitLab Duo Agent Platform and the broader product ecosystem. Key responsibilities include identifying gaps and dependencies across product areas, using strong product and design judgment to simplify complex workflows, building cross-functional alignment through clear communication and negotiation, and presenting product direction and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
The role requires deep collaboration across product, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to align priorities and execution. You'll shape how GitLab brings its software factory vision to market while helping customers experience a seamless, delightful end-to-end workflow.
Required qualifications include principal-level product management experience leading complex products across multiple teams, strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, experience with AI products or developer tools, technical judgment for effective engineering collaboration, strong product design and UX instincts, ability to influence across functions without direct authority, and clear communication skills for executive-level engagement. An ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity in fast-changing product areas are essential.
