ServiceNow is seeking a Principal Platform Architect to serve as a trusted advisor for enterprise platform strategy and governance. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on defining platform standards, guiding technical decisions, and ensuring ServiceNow remains healthy, scalable, and aligned with customer goals.
In this role, you will define and maintain the platform vision and strategy aligned to enterprise IT and business objectives. You'll provide architectural guidance to ensure designs align with platform standards and leading practices, and shape governance frameworks covering instance strategy, integrations, and data models. You'll facilitate platform governance forums to drive consistent decisions across partners and teams, and anticipate and mitigate platform risks including scalability, performance, and technical debt.
You'll influence adoption of leading practices across customer, partner, and ServiceNow teams, and provide structured feedback to ServiceNow product and engineering teams. Success means ServiceNow is embedded as a strategic enterprise platform with clear governance models, platform standards are consistently applied across delivery teams, technical risks are reduced, and you are recognized as a trusted advisor on platform strategy and governance.
You'll engage across C-suite executives, enterprise architects, and platform teams to influence decisions and ensure consistency across the program. The role requires experience integrating or critically thinking about AI into work processes, decision-making, and problem-solving.
Required qualifications include 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution strategy, and program leadership. You must have proven experience engaging at executive level to influence platform direction and business outcomes, a track record of defining multi-workflow enterprise-scale architectures and governance models, and strong ability to operate as a program-level architect guiding multiple teams toward a unified vision. Expertise in platform strategy, integration patterns, and complex delivery governance is essential. ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) and other architecture certifications are highly desirable.
