The Principal HR Business Partner is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. This is a strategic HR leadership position focused on partnering with senior business leaders to execute people strategies that enable organizational performance, scalability, and sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic HR advisory to senior leaders on complex organizational, workforce, and talent challenges
- Leading workforce planning, organizational design, and post-merger workforce integration initiatives
- Independently managing complex employee relations matters while maintaining expert knowledge of employment law and regulatory frameworks
- Developing and implementing talent management programs including performance management, career development, succession planning, and leadership enablement
- Using workforce analytics and organizational data to inform decision-making and support organizational transformation
- Designing and implementing scalable people programs that strengthen organizational capability and business performance
- Ensuring alignment with global HR frameworks while accommodating local employment requirements
- Supporting enterprise change initiatives and organizational effectiveness efforts
The role applies deep business acumen and HR expertise to advise on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness. The Principal HR Business Partner independently leads enterprise people initiatives while ensuring they support evolving business priorities and drive sustainable growth.
This is a hybrid role based in Montreal with one day per week in the office.
