The Principal HR Business Partner is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. This is a strategic HR leadership position focused on partnering with senior business leaders to execute people strategies that enable organizational performance, scalability, and sustainable growth. Key responsibilities include: - Providing strategic HR advisory to senior leaders on complex organizational, workforce, and talent challenges, influencing business decisions through commercially informed recommendations - Leading workforce planning, organizational design, and post-merger workforce integration initiatives - Independently managing complex employee relations matters while maintaining expert knowledge of employment legislation and regulatory frameworks - Applying organizational design principles and operating model changes to support business growth and effectiveness - Developing and implementing talent management programs including performance management, career development, succession planning, and leadership enablement - Leveraging workforce analytics and organizational data to evaluate people outcomes, support organizational transformation, and drive evidence-based decision-making - Supporting enterprise change initiatives and organizational effectiveness efforts - Ensuring alignment with global HR frameworks while accommodating local employment requirements The role requires deep business acumen combined with HR expertise. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to leadership, capable of translating business strategy into people initiatives that strengthen organizational capability. This is a hybrid position with one day per week in the Montreal office.
