The Principal HR Business Partner is a senior individual contributor role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. This is a strategic HR leadership position focused on partnering with senior business leaders to execute people strategies that enable organizational performance, scalability, and sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic HR advisory to senior leaders on complex organizational, workforce, and talent challenges, influencing business decisions through commercially informed recommendations
- Leading workforce planning, organizational design, and post-merger workforce integration initiatives
- Managing complex employee relations matters independently while maintaining expert knowledge of employment legislation and regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions
- Designing and implementing scalable people programs that strengthen organizational capability and business performance
- Leveraging workforce analytics and organizational data to inform decision-making and support evidence-based HR strategy
- Supporting organizational transformation and change initiatives
- Advising on talent management, performance management, career development, succession planning, and leadership enablement
- Ensuring alignment with global HR frameworks while meeting local employment requirements
The role requires deep business acumen combined with HR expertise. The successful candidate will be a trusted strategic advisor who can independently manage enterprise-level people initiatives while maintaining alignment across the organization. This is a hybrid position with one day per week in the Montreal office.
