Celonis is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead transformative solution design for enterprise clients. This role bridges Celonis' product and engineering teams with customer technical leadership, focusing on enterprise modernization, capability mapping, and agentic AI innovation.
You will own the overall architecture, data, and cloud strategy for the company's largest client accounts. Key responsibilities include presenting to C-level executives and translating their strategic objectives into actionable technical plans; designing solutions that leverage emerging technologies including agentic AI; assessing IT landscape maturity across the customer base; and coaching Celonis consulting teams and ecosystem partners on technical implementation.
You will participate in both pre-sales and post-sales phases, engaging with customer architecture and security teams. You'll develop reusable assets for consulting teams, create customer-facing position papers and thought leadership presentations, and produce technical designs for internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings 10–15 years of relevant experience as a software vendor architect, CTO at a top consulting firm, or enterprise architect at a customer organization. You must demonstrate strategic thinking that connects technical solutions to business value, with excellent communication skills for presenting complex concepts to executives. Strong expertise in capability mapping, enterprise modernization, and agentic AI is essential.
Required technical depth includes cloud-native architectures, SaaS solutions, ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, ECC), CRM platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics), ServiceNow, cybersecurity fundamentals, API ecosystems, and legacy on-premise architectures. You need strong data architecture and integration pattern knowledge, plus development experience with SQL, Python, or similar data languages. An MSc in Computer Science or equivalent IT qualification is required. Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages (Spanish, German, French, Italian) are advantageous.
