Mercor is an AI data company on a mission to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. The company operates a platform where millions of domain experts train frontier AI models, and is expanding into enterprise with Mercor Enterprise. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion, with offices in San Francisco, NYC, and London. In this role, you will own pricing strategy across Mercor's diverse data products and services. You'll work at the intersection of acquisition (buy-side) and monetization (sell-side), building the pricing models, rate cards, and margin frameworks that ensure pricing is consistent, defensible, and optimized for profitability. On the acquisition side, you will establish fair market value for data by type, domain, and end buyer; track competitor bidding behavior; model fully-loaded cost to serve (including acquisition price, extraction, QA, anonymization, and inference); and define priceable units and quality attributes for each data type. On the monetization side, you will design pricing and packaging frameworks by data type, volume, format, and customer segment; build rate cards and tiered pricing for recurring products; own unit economics per deal and product; build the pricing and forecasting toolkit for Finance and leadership; and continuously test and refine pricing using win/loss data and market feedback. You'll work cross-functionally with Sourcing, Sales, Finance, and Product teams daily. This is a high-ambiguity role where structured judgment and analytical rigor matter as much as data, given the nascent nature of data asset pricing benchmarks. REQUIREMENTS: - 6+ years in pricing strategy, monetization, revenue operations, or related analytical/strategy role (ideally at a data, marketplace, or B2B SaaS company) - Strong financial and quantitative modeling skills; fluent in Excel/Sheets; SQL a strong plus - Track record of building pricing models from scratch, not just tuning existing ones - Comfortable operating with real ambiguity and using structured judgment - Sharp cross-functional communicator NICE TO HAVE: - Experience pricing a two-sided marketplace (cost/supply side and demand/sell side) - Background in AI training data or market data
