The company uses AI and data-driven strategies to modernize the waste management industry. The Pricing Analyst is a key member of the Pricing Team, responsible for developing customer savings strategies and driving profitability for prospective accounts. This role requires collecting, organizing, and analyzing a wide variety of financial and operational data to assess costs and revenues of potential business relationships. Core responsibilities include: **Pricing Analysis & Strategy (50%):** Conduct detailed financial and operational analyses of vendor-customer relationships to identify cost-savings opportunities. Make accurate cost and revenue projections through thorough review of customer, market, and industry data. Design optimized waste and recycling management strategies using RoadRunner's products and services. Collaborate with internal teams to increase service efficiency, recycling rates, and profitability. Build and maintain financial models in Excel and Google Sheets. **Cross-Functional Support & Communication (25%):** Work proactively with Sales to minimize delays and increase sales velocity. Engage with Operations and Marketplace teams to design strategies balancing customer savings with company profitability. Develop internal and external networking skills to build productive relationships and expedite task execution. **Vendor & Market Engagement (15%):** Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support negotiation of material management agreements. Monitor and synthesize market and industry trends, sharing updated information with team members to ensure pricing quality. The role requires critical thinking, efficient communication, creative problem-solving, and the ability to manage high volumes of concurrent accounts with disciplined multitasking and prioritization. Success depends on quickly developing expertise in the waste and recycling brokering industry.
